Ranking Every Stan Lee MCU Cameo: An Authoritative Tribute to the Man Behind Marvel's Mightiest Hero

Every Stan Lee MCU Cameo

From his first appearance in the 1960s comics, to his last cameo in Avengers: Endgame, Stan Lee's Marvel Cinematic Universe cameos have been delighting fans across the globe. As the man behind many of the world's mightiest heroes and villains, Mr. Lee was an icon in the world of entertainment.

In honour of Mr. Lee's passing, we've decided to pay tribute to his incredible career by ranking all of his Marvel Cinematic Universe cameos. Here's Every Stan Lee MCU Movie Cameo, Ranked.

1. Avengers: Endgame (2019) Stan Lee's final cameo as an old man waiting on a bus stop in the past was an emotional send-off to a beloved Marvel staple. Endgame was the perfect place for his last scene as Lee had been a part of the MCU since the very first Iron Man movie in 2008.

2. Captain Marvel (2019) In his next-to-last appearance, Lee played observant interdimensional heroaly watcher, as Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) makes her inaugural flights as Captain Marvel. In his scene, Lee cheers on Captain Marvel as she takes flight for the very first time.

3. Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018) Lee made a blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance as an annoyed FedEx driver who has an encounter with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly). It was a humorous scene that fit in well with one of the lighter films in the MCU.

4. Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Many MCU fans were delighted with Lee's comedic performance in Thor: Ragnarok, in which he appears as an alien in a planet full of gladiators. Lee gets inspired by the spectacle and decides (much to Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) surprise) to join the fight himself.

5. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) In an epic Easter Egg, Lee appears as a character aptly named Xandar. He has a brief onscreen appearance in a portion of the film set in an alien planet. Lee is an avid aviator and a polite Xandarian citizen named Gary.

6. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Lee pops in to pay tribute to one of his beloved creations by playing the role of an obnoxious school bus driver who's watching a classic Spider-Man cartoon. As he interacts with Peter Parker (Tom Holland), he reveals to Parker that he was a fan of superheroes since his youth.

7. Doctor Strange (2016) Lee's role in this movie was more of a joke than anything else. He makes a brief appearance as an annoyed librarian who chastises Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), for not abiding by the rules of the reading room.

8. Captain America: Civil War (2016) The audience crows with delight when Lee makes an appearance with his signature moves. In his scene, he's shown to be a member of a military tribunal and expresses his annoyance when his advice isn't followed.

9. Ant-Man (2015) In a clever nod to the size-changing powers of the title character, Lee is a bartender who serves ant-sized drinks to ants in a bar. As Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) explains his difficult past, Lee looks on in empathy.

10. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) Lee's scene appears after the Battle of Sokovia and he helps the audience understand the implications of the battle by delivering a poignant speech that serves as a reminder of the power of Earth's mightiest heroes.

11. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) Lee appears as a gleeful Xandarian, who can't wait to by caught up in the adventures of the ragtag team of cosmic misfits. His scene is brief and cheerful, and features Lee as an ordinary citizen enjoying a nice day out in the city while the heroes battle a cosmic threat.

12. The Avengers (2012) In one of the most memorable cameos of the entire MCU, Lee makes a dramatic entrance, commenting on the mayhem that has erupted in New York City. The brief scene was also made even more special by Lee's presence, who brought a kind of zany humour to the scene.

13. Iron Man 2 (2010) In this brief scene, Lee plays a parody of himself and is seen comically heckling the main character, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.). It was a fun and humorous nod to the comic book creator and was a great way of incorporating him into the world of superheroes.
