A hearing has been set for OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney, who is accused of killing her boyfriend.
Clenney, 28, was arrested on December 4th after police responded to a call at her Miami Beach apartment. When they arrived, they found the body of her boyfriend, 33-year-old Jamal Hubert, with multiple stab wounds.
According to court documents, Clenney initially told police that she and Hubert had gotten into an argument and he had attacked her with a knife. She claimed that she grabbed the knife from him and accidentally stabbed him in self-defense.
However, further investigation revealed inconsistencies in her story and surveillance footage showed Clenney leaving the apartment with a suitcase shortly after the incident. She was later arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
At a bond hearing on December 5th, Clenney's attorney argued that she had acted in self-defense and requested a reasonable bond amount. However, the judge ruled that she be held without bond due to the severity of the crime and the potential for flight risk. The trial for Clenney is set to begin on January 25th, with a pre-trial hearing scheduled for January 14th. If convicted, she faces up to life in prison.
Clenney was an OnlyFans model who had amassed a large following on the platform. She had been in a relationship with Hubert for several months prior to the incident.
The murder has shocked and saddened those who knew the couple, with many expressing their condolences on social media. The case continues to be investigated by the Miami Beach Police Department.
